{Carolyn + Ryan | 6.19.21} - Wedding at Waterford Mennonite Church

Congrats to Carolyn and Ryan! What a beautiful wedding and an amazing couple!

It’s always so much fun to photograph the bride getting ready! The excitement and anticipation of the day ahead is so much fun to capture. I especially enjoy when the bride receives a hand written letter from the groom. It’s such a wonderful way to express the love of the day to your future wife!

What a gorgeous and elegant wedding dress!

Carolyn and Ryan had all their family members there to see the ceremony! What a beautiful setting for the start of this new life together. I especially loved being able to capture Dad walking his daughter down the isle!

Time to celebrate at the reception at Coppes Commons in Nappanee! This venue never fails to amaze me. The warm, rich brick architecture along with the dark wood accents is an amazing backdrop for a newlywed couple to celebrate their wedding!

How about a first dance with your new partner!

And a few last shots of the evening around the outside of the Coppes Commons buidling!

Toddler Mommy and Me Session

I had such a fun time capturing little Harper! Mom contacted me about wanting to schedule a session to capture some memories of this special time in their lives together. We chose to use one of my favorite local parks - Cobus Creek park in Elkhart.

A blanket and some beautiful evening golden hour lighting to bring out the natural beauty and connection that these two have together!

How much fun is it to roll around and laugh and play with your children for a family photo session!

Cute little feet alert!

What a better way to end the session than with bubbles!

{Hannah + Nick | 6.12.21} - Wedding at Notre Dame Basilic

We loved capturing Hannah & Nick’s special day on the Notre Dame campus! The day was just gorgeous outdoors for roaming around campus with these two to find their favorite locations for pics. The basilica, the grotto, the golden dome and touchdown Jesus were all favorite spaces for these two newlyweds.

The Basilica church is such a glorious setting for a wedding. We always love shooting here as the wide open spaces and stained glass add to such beautiful ambience! Look at Nick’s expression when he finally gets to see his future wife coming down the isle :)

We helped Hannah and Nick setup a blind letter reading just prior to the ceremony. Of course we had to choose the amazing large wooden church doors of this famous ND church!

The grotto prayer location is a must on the wedding day. It’s a great opportunity to take a break from all of the chaos and running around of the wedding day and just relax and connect spiritually in this holy location.

Barn receptions are just so magical with the rope lighting in the background! First dances are so special in a barn venue like this :)

The Patchwork Barn in Middlebury is the perfect spot for a wedding reception!

How amazing is this barn scene with Hanna’s veil blowing in the wind and the red barn behind her!

Cheers to a new life together Hannah & Nick! You were so much fun to work with and we say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for trusting us to capture your wedding day!

Adorable Newborn Session

I’m so terrible about putting up photos in a timely manner! This was a session from 2018 and I’m just now getting around to putting it up on the blog lol.

Baby Olivia was such a little doll to photograph. Mom and Dad and I had such fun setting up a few different scenes and capturing their new family addition!

We worked with a beautiful color pallet of purples and pinks linens and I think it turned out pretty good!

Newborn Photo Purple Pink-19.JPG

This would make such a gorgeous framed print!

We also were able to capture baby Olivia in another clothing choice to mix it up a little. Whenever I shoot newborn sessions I always plan on letting baby determine the schedule! Sometimes baby only gives us a little time to shoot before he/she wakes up, but other times baby is super content and willing to keep giving us photo time! Olivia was a perfect photo model and gave us lots of time to spend capturing memories!

I love the closeups of the hands. I love the little expressions and the yawns! I love them all!

{ Phil + Megan | 7.25.20 } - Wedding at Red Tail Farm, Goshen

We knew this was going to be such a fun wedding to photograph…and we weren’t disappointed!

Megan and Phil are good friends of ours, so it was extra special to be chosen to photograph their wedding for them. The plans had to take a little bit of a curve with the outbreak of Covid 19 this year, but with some careful planning and safety precautions, they were able to pull it off and still mange to keep everyone safe!

The ceremony was set in a beautiful secluded outdoor setting surrounded by the Goshen countryside and close friends and family. Red Tail Farm provided the perfect venue for this wedding!

The brides dress was absolutely gorgeous and this barn setting was so beautiful!

The anticipation of the first look is the best! After months of preparation and planning, this is the moment when it all comes together. I like stage a special location for couples to see each other for the first time. We found a nice quite secluded area of Red Tail Farm with a gorgeous red painted backdrop to stage this first look.

The groomsmen were all decked out in a blue and tan dapper themed style complete with bowties and suspenders! So freaking cool!

The groom and his son, both decked out complete with drivers cap….awesome!

Absolutely stunning pink and wine bridesmaids dresses. These girls were such a fun group to get to photograph.

A perfect evening to take the bride and groom on a stroll through the country setting at Red Tail Farm for a couple shots!

Grand exit complete with sparklers!

{ John + Elizabeth | 11.2.19 } - Wedding Photos at Morris Estate, Niles, Michigan

From the minute that Elizabeth and her grandmother walked by our wedding photo booth at a local bridal expo and asked about our photography collections, I knew this was going to be a fun wedding to photograph! John and Elizabeth had plans to get married at the gorgeous Morris Estate in Niles, MI and were looking at options for a local professional to photograph it for them. We explained that our collections include an custom designed Heirloom album as well as an engagement photo shoot. Elizabeth ended up booking with us and we are so glad she did! Below are some of the highlights of her amazing wedding day…

The grounds and chapel at The Morris Estate is such a truly inspirational area to have a wedding ceremony! In the fall, the leaves and foliage combine with the quaint and quite setting to create a truly special setting for a wedding.

JOHN + ELIZABETH WEDDING-3.jpg

On the morning of the wedding we always like to start by capturing closeups of all the details of the wedding including the rings, shoes, invitations, etc….

While a wedding is based around so much more than just objects and items, it’s still so important to preserve the memories of those items!

The bridesmaids were gathered around Elizabeth for her final veil fitting and last minute touch ups!

Can’t forget about the rest of the wedding party! The groomsmen all decked out in their suites pose for a shot outside the Morris Estate with the gorgeous fall leaves as a brackdrop.

It’s always nice to try and find a little time before the ceremony to setup a mini session to reveal to Dad how gorgeous his daughter looks on her big day! This is always an emotional moment to capture and one of my favorites events of the day!

Dad reveal-2.jpg

First looks are so much fun! Often times brides or grooms are reluctant to see each other before the ceremony, but I generally encourage clients to seriously consider doing a first look. Many think that it will detract from the surprise of walking down the isle, but in reality it actually creates a more relaxed environment to see each other for the first time. The processional is still just as amazing too!

What a gorgeous setting for a wedding!! The Morris Estate is just so quaint and relaxing….especially in the fall when all the trees have turned colors.

Reception at the Supper Club Niles-5.jpg

The Supper Club was just amazing! The lights, the atmosphere, the food, the dancing, the desert…all spectacular. Food provided by Lasalle Catering was out of this world!

Congrats to Elizabeth & John! We were honored to be able to photograph your wedding and capture your memories for you guys :)

{ Rodney + Korinne | 10.19.19 } - Wedding at Sts. Peter & Paul Social Hall

This couple and their families are so amazingly fun to be around and we had a blast shooting their wedding at the Sts. Peter & Paul Social Hall in South Bend! When Korinne initially contacted us looking for a local wedding photographer, we knew they were going to be a blast to work with, and we weren’t wrong! There are a lot of choices for local professional wedding and engagement photographers in the Elkhart area to choose from and we were honored that we were their final choice!

We worked with Korinne & Rodney to plan the timeline for their day starting a few months before the wedding day. We knew we wanted to find a special location somewhere around the Mishawaka/South Bend area to do a first look. We ended up deciding to have them meet at Shiojiri Japanese Garden in Mishawaka and see each other for the first time. With the cool weather and orange and red foliage, this outdoor location worked well with the beautiful fall/winter theme of their wedding. The emotions and memories were priceless!

Such a beautiful flowing bridal gown!

The ceremony turned out perfect! The burnt orange, black and white theme turned out perfect too! Rodney & Korinne share such an emotional connection together, that it made our job of capturing memories so easy. The photo opportunities were endless because the love between the bride and groom was natural!
