Welcome to Dave Thompson Photography, I really appreciate you taking the time to visit my webpage. If you've spent any time looking at other photographers, you've already figured out that photography services can be very expensive and out of the reach of many people. When I decided to open my business in 2013, I had a single goal in mind...to make high quality, creative photography available at a reasonable price. There's no reason a wedding should cost $7,000 or a family portrait cost $2,000. I'm able to keep my prices reasonable because I don't have big studios and expensive overhead, I don't have multiple staff and company vehicles.

A bit of background about me...my photography interests were sparked years ago when my Aunt and Uncle bought a very old house. I was just a young child and remember going there when they moved in. As most young boys do, I scurried off to begin exploring the really cool, old house. Down in the basement I came across a couple of large boxes and proceeded to open them up to find a pile of old, glass photo negatives from the late 1800's. They were in sepia tone (black & white) and were truly amazing to me! Later on that year, my Uncle decided to setup a makeshift darkroom so we could make prints and explore these negatives further. The prints that we made were really amazing to me. To be able to peer back in time...to be able to see someone elses memories and life from that long ago...that was something special in my eyes!

Since that day, I've continued to be mesmerized with capturing memories and peoples lives through the lens. I want the opportunity to do this for you! I want to walk and talk with you and your family. I want to learn about your life and experiences and be able to give you something to keep forever.

My goal is to work hard for you as a customer. I know what it's like to be on a strict budget...I want to be able to offer you an alternative to the high priced, large corporate photography companies out there. I will provide a low cost, high value, local alternative for your photography needs!  You won't get a recording or have to press zero to speak to an operator. I'll always be available to sit down with you or talk over the phone to discuss your project.
